Privacy Policy

Sober Thoughts (“the App”) is operated by Infinit3 Development (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS application.

The Short Version

We collect almost nothing. Your data stays on your device. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal information. We do not run ads. We do not track you.

What We Collect

Information stored on your device only

The following data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s standard storage mechanisms (AsyncStorage). It never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server:

• Content mode preference (Faith & Program, Mindful & Open, Science & Self, or All)
• Category preferences (which content categories you have enabled)
• Sobriety start date (if you choose to set one — this is completely optional)
• Favorite quotes (quote IDs you have saved)
• Widget configuration (theme, size, rotation, content source)
• Notification preferences (enabled/disabled, preferred time)
• Onboarding completion status

Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
• We do not collect your location
• We do not collect device identifiers for tracking purposes
• We do not collect usage analytics or behavioral data
• We do not collect health or medical information
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera

Push Notifications

If you enable daily thought notifications, Apple’s Push Notification service delivers scheduled messages to your device. We schedule these notifications locally on your device — no server is involved. We do not receive notification delivery data.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Sober Thoughts Premium, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID (not linked to your identity) to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat’s privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

We do not receive your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone. Period.

• No advertising partners
• No analytics providers
• No data brokers
• No social media platforms

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, all data is deleted. There is nothing for us to retain because we never had it.

Children’s Privacy

Sober Thoughts is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

iCloud Sync

The current version (V1) does not use iCloud sync. Your data exists only on the device where you installed the App. A future version may offer optional iCloud sync for favorites and preferences across your devices.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data. Since we store all data locally on your device and do not transmit it to any server, you have complete control over your data at all times. You can delete all App data by uninstalling the App.
